A financial institution in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Credit Analyst to conduct credit evaluations and risk analysis. Responsibilities include managing loan portfolios, ensuring compliance, and marketing banking products. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Banking, with at least 5 years of credit analysis experience. Strong writing and presentation skills are essential. Credit evaluation and risk analysis at project level, company level and industry level assisted by financial and non-financial evaluation of companies, project feasibility studies, sensitivity analysis, industry and economic research.
Conduct due diligence on borrower, supplier and buyer for Buyer Credit/trade facilities applications. Carry out credit assessment on application received and preparation of quality credit paper for approving committee’s approval. Assess the viability of project/proposal to be in line with the Bank’s objective and business model. Conduct thorough analysis on the financial statements of the customer/corporate guarantor to verify the financial health of the company, generate the financial modelling and conduct sensitivity analysis on the projected cash flow submitted by the client.
Manage the existing accounts including handling all credit matters relating to the accounts. Promote active utilisation on the existing approved facility to maximise the utilisation rate by the good quality customer. Collaborate with other support departments to understand and to keep updated on the customer’s operational needs on the facility.
Monitor loan assets by reviewing the loan facilities, business performance and financial performance of the customers and checking the progress of the customers’ project to identify any early warning signals that may lead to the loan assets to turn default or Non Performing. Conduct site visit to the project site and/or business premise as part of the ongoing monitoring and tracking on project performance or business performance of the Customer.
Identify the risks and provide mitigation plans to address the risk areas relating to each financing. Present the complete credit proposal papers to obtain approval from the various approving authorities of EXIM Bank (Business Development Committee). Prepare Letter of Offer (LO),odaeth lotion; liaise with various departments such as Product Development (for Shariah products) and Legal Departments during the preparation process. Vet the commercial terms of the Facility Agreement. Organise pre‑disbursement meetings and finally to ensure all conditions precedents are fully met before the&q;drawdown. To ensure maximise utilisation rate of the approved financing by the clients. Compile all the supporting documents for first disbursement of the approved facility.
Identify potential customers/players through data mining activity and thereafter recommended to immediate superior/team head for further marketing approach. Maintain a pool of customer within EXIM Bank’s Risk Acceptance Criteria and lending guidelines as a source of continuous income for the bank. Attend to the queries by walk‑in Clients or via telephone on the products and services of EXIM Bank. Participate in EXIM Bank’s roadshows, signing ceremonies and exhibitions and provide direct consultancy to the Client/potential Clients. Market a range पीएम of EXIM Bank banking products and services including project financing and syndications.
