Regional Executive, Quality Assurance (Supplier)
Responsibilities
- Regional Supplier Governance and Auditing
- Conduct supplier audits (approval, routine, ad-hoc) across multiple countries in alignment with group FSQ standards.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, work with suppliers to address and resolve quality and safety issues, including defects or inconsistencies.
- Harmonize audit frequency and documentation across markets based on supplier risk profiling, PSR status, and Supplier Performance Score.
- Provide supplier onboarding support to new markets including guidance on QA tools, documentation, and approvals.
- FSQ Compliance and Documentation Review
- Perform Product Safety Review (PSR) on cross-border suppliers and ingredients.
- Maintain centralized QA documentation and ensure traceability for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Incident Response and CAPA Oversight
- Act as regional QA responder for supplier-related product incidents, recalls, and quality complaints from markets.
- Work with vendors on timely investigation, root cause analysis, and issuance of Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Support the development of incident metrics and dashboards across country teams.
- Track, update, and report on regional supplier scorecards including defect rates, audit results, and incident history.
- Facilitate cross-functional reviews with Procurement and Operations to recommend supplier upgrades or offboarding.
- Use analytics to inform strategic sourcing decisions and highlight quality improvement opportunities.
- Product Quality Validation
- Coordinate cross-market testing for new products, ingredients and food items to ensure consistency and regulatory fit.
- Collaborate with BU teams to align PSR evaluations with retail readiness and customer safety expectations.
- Outlet Regular Audit (ORA)
- Conduct Outlet Regular Audit (ORA) to stay relevant and compliant with Retail Operation workflow, procedures and requirements.
- General Responsibilities
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Perform any other special project/task assigned by superior/management.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Degree in Food Science, Food Science & Technology, Quality Assurance, Engineering or other related disciplines.
- Formal background or training in technical areas relevant to FSMS standards (HACCP / GFSI).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Food Safety in the food and beverage industry, preferably within Quick Restaurant Services line.
- Fluent in English and Malay (spoken and written). Chinese is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of supplier management and auditing processes, food safety standards, quality assurance terminology, implementations, methods and tools.
- Technical knowledge and hands on experience in handling certification audits such as GFSI is preferred.
- Proactive, structured and adaptable to cross-cultural work settings.
- Strong communicator and problem solver, with regional stakeholder engagement capability.
- Committed to quality integrity, detail-oriented, and organized in multitasking.
- Able to articulate new information quickly and react positively to new and challenging opportunities.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
