Job summary

A leading financial services company in Malaysia is seeking an RTR Analyst to execute daily financial processes, including General Ledger and Fixed Assets management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting, and preferably 2 years of experience in a relevant accounting role. Excellent knowledge of SAP will be an advantage. The position involves ensuring timely financial reporting and supporting month-end procedures.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a shared service environment.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.

Job description

The Record To Report (RTR) Analyst executes the daily General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Banking or Treasury processes and functions which include Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP); whilst ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Job holder is responsible to ensure service timelines quality are met in the delivery of RTR services, and will be the key team member who assists the RTR Team Lead and Manager in all operational matters.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieves accounting operational objectives to provide accurate, reliable and timely accounting information for:
    • Bank reconciliations
    • General ledger journals for input into SAP.
    • General administration and month end tasks as required.
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
    • Reconciliation of Control Accounts, Provision and Prepayments.
    • Fixed Assets Register reconciliation to general ledger, Fixed Assets addition, depreciation run and fixed assets adjustment journals.
    • Intercompany reconciliations.
    • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
    • Support a clean and timely year end audit.
  2. Complete general administration and month end tasks as required.
  3. Work with the team members to share best practices.
  4. Process R2R workflow mailboxes to ensure all request are responded on timely basis.
  5. Assist in ad-hoc reporting required by the Line Manager or others.
  6. Ensure month end close deadlines are met.
  7. Maintain documentation on processes and ensure systems related issues are escalated, addressed and mitigated.
  8. Identify, recommend and develop solutions in consultation with Team Lead for continuous improvement opportunities.
  9. Support successful implementation of new systems and processes which relate to the Record to Report function.
Job Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification (ACCA/CPA etc). Candidates who are pursuing Professional Qualification are preferred.
  2. Preferably 2 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably in an international finance shared service company environment. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  3. Previous experience with SAP preferred.
