Job summary

A reputable technology manufacturing firm in Johor is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and ensure products meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, particularly in electronics, and must possess strong leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for managing quality audits, handling customer complaints, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team. A degree in Engineering or a related field is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing quality, preferably in electronics.
• Experienced in quality management systems and audits.
• Ability to monitor KPIs related to quality.

Job Description

• Lead overall Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
• Manage IQC, IPQC, FQC and ensure product meets customer specifications.
• Handle customer complaints, perform root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why) and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Lead internal & supplier audits; ensure closure of non-conformances.
• Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, yield) and drive continuous improvement.
• Support NPI/sample approval and ensure quality requirements in production.
• Lead and develop the quality team.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing quality; electronics background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001; experience with 8D, FMEA, SPC.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership experience managing quality teams.
