Job summary

A leading inspection and certification company in Malaysia is seeking candidates for a role that involves following detailed instructions, conducting inspections, and supervising teams. Applicants should have at least an SPM qualification and a preferable 3-5 years of working experience, with those having more than 5 years considered for senior roles. The role requires adherence to safety policies and the ability to report discrepancies during inspections.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education SPM.
  • Preferable 3-5 years working experience; candidates with more than 5 years can be considered for senior roles.
  • Candidates without SPM must pass the Inspector Quality Assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed instructions from the Manager/Operations Executives.
  • Review job files prior to inspection.
  • Ensure operations comply with approved procedures or standards.
  • Prepare tools and documentation for inspections.
  • Guide trainee or junior inspectors during jobs.
  • Supervise inspection teams when required.
  • Check port operations and vessel status.
  • Check draft field reports and organize reports for handover.
  • Assist in daily operations when needed.
  • Update Operations Executive daily on operations and highlight issues.
  • Maintain equipment used during inspections.
  • Report any discrepancies encountered during inspections.
  • Adhere to SGS Health, Safety and Environment Policy.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the reporting manager or senior management.
