As a Quality Engineer at Lucky Wood Manufacturing, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality—consistently and efficiently. This is more than a support role—it’s about leading preventive and corrective actions that make a real impact across the production floor and with our customers.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Documentation & Records Management
- Maintain and control engineering drawings, artwork, and quality documentation to ensure accurate versioning in production.
- Manage distribution and version control of controlled documents; ensure timely removal of obsolete versions.
- Generate and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), track root causes and corrective actions with respective departments.
2. Quality Control & Process Implementation
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of quality control measures across the production line, utilizing Kanban systems and lean principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, etc.) to resolve issues and enhance process performance.
- Oversee sample retention systems, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
- Drive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects and prepare analytical reports or presentations.
- Analyze production data for trends, defects, and areas for process optimization.
- Manage and follow up on Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure quality impact is captured and reflected in documentation.
3. Customer Quality Support
- Prepare and deliver quality reports to customers, including shipment, testing and dimensional reports.
- Conduct product testing based on customer specifications and protocols.
- Investigate customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis and propose effective corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate with internal teams on sample preparation, testing and feedback during trials.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- Looking at 2 years of experience in a quality engineering or quality assurance role, preferably in manufacturing or Fresh graduate are welcome to apply.
- Proficient in ISO 9001 standards, 7QC tools, and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Skilled in documentation, reporting, and cross-department coordination
- Able to communicate in English; Mandarin language skills are an added advantage
- Comfortable handling customer-facing quality issues
