Job summary

A tech company in Selangor is seeking a QA Engineer to design and run tests for microservices using Go and TypeScript. The role involves testing APIs, validating data workflows, and enhancing CI/CD automation. Responsibilities

• Design and run automated/manual tests for microservices built with Go or TypeScript.
• Test gRPC and REST APIs through API Gateway.
• Validate data workflows with AWS Aurora, ElastiCache, and Kafka.
• Integrate tests with BetterStack, CloudWatch, and tracing tools.
• Test infrastructure with Terraform, Docker, and ECS/EKS.
• Conduct performance and scalability testing.
• Manage defects and drive root cause analysis.
• Enhance CI/CD pipeline test automation.
• Collaborate with developers and PMs for test cases.

Skills

Strong QA experience with Go or TypeScript microservices

Hands-on AWS microservices and containerized environment testing

Skilled in testing gRPC, REST APIs, and Kafka streams

Proficient in SQL and Redis testing strategies

Experience with test automation in CI/CD workflows

Familiar with Terraform and container orchestration testing

Knowledge of observability and distributed tracing in QA

Clear communication and leadership skills

• Test gRPC and REST APIs through API Gateway.


• Validate data workflows with AWS Aurora, ElastiCache, and Kafka (MSK).


• Integrate tests with BetterStack, CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and tracing tools.


• Test infrastructure with Terraform, Docker, and ECS/EKS.


• Conduct performance and scalability testing.


• Manage defects and drive root cause analysis.


• Enhance CI/CD pipeline test automation.


• Collaborate with developers and PMs to define clear test cases, edge cases and acceptance criteria


• Establish QA best practices, test data strategy, and regression automation.

Requirements

• Strong QA experience with Go or TypeScript microservices.
