A top multinational company in Malaysia seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead R&D and quality assessments of prototype tools for mass production. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in engineering and over 5 years of manufacturing experience. Responsibilities include developing quality standards, using NX software to analyze tooling issues, and collaborating with product development teams. Conduct R&D and quality assessment of prototype tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and functionality before mass production.
Provide technical expertise in tooling fabrication, defect prevention, and testing protocols.
Develop and implement quality standards and procedures for tooling qualification.
Use NX software to analyze tooling quality issues and define inspection standards.
Prepare customer 2D prints and CNC CMM/OMM programming for tooling and 3D products.
Perform quality tests on NPI products and deliver detailed analysis reports with improvement recommendations.
Collaborate with product development and testing teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Track and verify quality metrics to ensure compliance with requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, TQM, Kaizen, and related methodologies.
Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal stamping, fabrication, or plastic injection.
Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485, ISO16949).
Strong analytical skills, positive attitude, integrity, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in English and Microsoft Excel.
