Job summary

A leading power solutions company located in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking a Quality Engineer to establish product quality standards and develop testing plans. Ideal candidates should have over three years of experience in switch power supplies and notable training in quality management. Job description

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang Malaysia

Salary Range: RM 3,500 - RM 4,500 (based on qualifications & experience)

About our client:

This company product is Power Module base and customers are of Cisco, Foxconn, Flex and so on. R&D based in Shenzen and manufacturing plant in Dong Guan.

Qualifications:

  • Education Level: Associate Degree or Equivalent.
  • Major: Engineering and technology majors such as Mechanical and Electronic Engineering; experience may allow for flexibility.
  • Training Experience: Received training in relevant knowledge areas such as Quality Management, Switch Power Supply Circuit Analysis, 7S, ESD, ISO 9001, QC 080000, ISO 14001, and Safety Education.
  • Experience: Over 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer (QE) in switch power supplies, with some project management skills; familiar with QC management techniques.
  • Skills: Familiar with the analysis of switch power supply circuits; proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing; skilled in using various office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.); strong logical judgment and problem‑solving abilities; capability to ask questions and summarize; good communication skills; planning abilities; and a strong capacity for learning.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly responsible, with good professional ethics and integrity; keen insight and analytical judgment abilities; able to conscientiously complete job responsibilities; strong awareness of teamwork.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishment of Product Quality Standards.
  • Development of product testing plans.
  • Preparation of product experimental outlines.
  • Participation in D FMEA reviews during the new product development phase.
  • Participation in design structure reviews for new products.
  • Structural inspection of product prototypes.
  • Participation in supplier evaluations of outsourced factories, including statistical analysis and guidance for incoming materials and process quality control.
  • Experimental arrangements and tracking during the product trial production process.
  • Collection of issues during the trial production process, tracking improvements, and confirming effectiveness.
  • Overall assessment of products and new product evaluation reports.
  • Preparation of product inspection guidelines.
  • Signature approval for defective product samples.
  • Training for process inspection personnel on products.
  • Completion of other tasks assigned by superiors.
