Job description

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw steel to ensure they match MTRs and project requirements.
• Perform detailed visual checks of welds for defects such as porosity, undercut, or cracks.
• Verify fabricated components match shop drawings, checking lengths, angles, hole placements, and camber.
• Coordinate or perform specialized NDT like Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, or Ultrasonic.
• Ensure all welders are qualified and using appropriate WPS.
• Maintain accurate logs of inspections, NCRs, and final as-built documentation.
• Inspect sandblasting and paint/galvanization thickness to ensure corrosion protection.>
