Assisting QA Manager in implementation and maintenance of Food Safety & Quality Standards. Supervising and coordinating team of QA Assistants engaged in the inspection and testing of daily production and equipment. Directs QA team in quality assurance inspection and testing, to assure that Food safety and regulatory standards are met. Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
II. OUTCOMES REQUIRED
- a) To assist QA Manager in the implementation and maintenance of a quality/ food system that meets and/ or exceeds the requirements of our customers.
- b) To manage and supervise QA staff.

II. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- a) Supervising daily operations and activities of QA team engaged in inspecting raw material and finished products to ensure adherence to Food Safety & quality standards.
- b) Assist QA Manager in the organization, program design, policy, and procedure formulation and facilities for the entire quality and food safety function.
- c) Ensuring that products are produced in clean & hygiene environment.
- d) Controls and monitors both internal and external quality services provided by people engaged in these activities.
- e) Confers with the QA Manager, technical representatives, suppliers and customers in the planning and review of quality assurance & quality control.
- f) Administers continuing program of review and analysis to audit the quality and food safety results.
- g) Provides technical guidance and works in close liaison with managers of departments involved in group projects.
- h) Ensuring lab equipment is maintained and calibrated to the standards.
- j) Conduct holds reconciliation on weekly basis and ensure SAP, excel file and actual item on-hold is aligned.
- k) Maintain the foreign material risk assessment, analyses trend and communicate to food safety team.
- l) Responsible in updating the QA Manager on all non-conformance detected during production and ensure the correction and corrective action being initiated according to the procedure.
- m) Responsible for completing weekly, monthly report and submitting on time.
- n) Support implementation and verification of corrective and preventive measures.
- o) To lead the product evaluation on weekly basis.
- p) Responsible for conducting a plant audit, internal audit and any other food safety inspection required.
- q) Assist in training, coaching, mentoring, empowering and developing team members. This includes coordinating team involvement activities to drive “continuous quality improvement process”

IV. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- a) Degree in Food technology or related science background.
- b) Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in or Food Industry
- c) Computer Literate.
- d) Able to converse and write both Malay and English
- e) Good analytical skills and proactive.
- f) Good documentation Practice
- g) Good communication skills at all levels.
- h) Able to work under pressure.
