Job summary

A construction management company in Rawang, Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Officer to oversee and implement quality assurance and control procedures in construction projects. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a QA/QC role within the construction industry. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Qualifications

  • Experience in landed residential or general building projects preferred.
  • Qlassic Assessor Certification is an advantage.

Job description

Oversees and ensures the implementation of QA/QC procedures and standards in construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and enforce QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Perform regular inspections and tests on construction materials and works to verify adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Identify, document, and address non-conformances, coordinating corrective and preventive measures effectively.
  • Plan and execute internal and external quality audits, ensuring all activities conform to established standards and procedures.
  • Assess and monitor the quality of materials supplied by vendors, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify areas for quality improvement and implement strategies to enhance construction processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure all QA/QC activities adhere to health and safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.
Job Specification and Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management, or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role in the construction industry.
  • Candidate with experience in landed residential/ general building project would be preferred.
  • Candidate with Qlassic Assessor Certification would be added advantages.
  • In-depth knowledge of QA/QC standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
