A prominent manufacturing company located in Penang is seeking an experienced quality management professional to manage QMS documentation and improve processes. The role includes developing PPAP documents for new products and leading internal audits. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering or related fields, along with at least 2 years in a QA department, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong communication, mathematical, and report writing skills are essential, with knowledge of statistical analysis being a plus.
Works in collaboration with Management to update QMS documentation and records, work instruction, etc. to comply with recent interpretations of the quality system requirements.
Understand and interpret customer standards in relation to the work of the organization.
Create procedures and forms based on the understanding of the process and in relation to the QMS requirements along with customer-specific requirements to ensure compliance with the standards.
Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product launches to meet customer requirements.
Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes.
Review, Analyse and recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow-up to verify effectiveness.
Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and start-up.
Maintain Control Plans and FMEA throughout the life of the part.
Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis Tools.
Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
Assists other departments in setting up related documents to the QMS and provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.
Coordinate and conduct internal audit activities and monitor to ensure competition within the required timelines.
Lead PPM improvement plan for strategic customers and Report out findings to QM for review.
Observe all safety rules and regulations and perform the job in a safe manner.
To train and supervise the QA Technical Assistant / Sr to perform in-process quality audits and evaluations.
