A technology company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional for procurement responsibilities. The role involves managing local operations, leading cost improvement initiatives, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring quality. Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing sector and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to significantly impact procurement processes within the company.
Responsible for procurement of local operation needs, including inventory items, MRO items, spare part, equipment, engineering items, manufacturing supplies, office equipment, facilities and other services
Responsible for leading cost improvement efforts for local supply base, lead the negotiation with local suppliers for the best quality, price, lead time and items in line with target cost and quality performance
Negotiates with external vendors regarding purchase contracts
Lead the new supplier qualification performance rating activities
Reviews and approves purchase order
Performs any other duties assign from management
At least 5 years of working experience in the EMS or electronics manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and good communication skills
