Job description
Sourcing & Purchasing
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for hardware items, industrial tools, spare parts, machinery, raw materials, and technical services.
  • Issue purchase orders and follow up closely to ensure accurate specifications and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct market price benchmarking for hardware and engineering items to obtain competitive pricing.
Supplier Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers of industrial and hardware components.
  • Monitor suppliers’ performance in quality, technical reliability, cost, and delivery lead‑time.
  • Identify alternative hardware/engineering suppliers to avoid supply delays and support business continuity.
Cost & Inventory Control
  • Negotiate best pricing, credit terms, and shipment arrangements to achieve significant cost savings.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and production/maintenance teams to ensure sufficient stock of critical hardware and spare parts.
  • Monitor stock movement, reduce slow‑moving items, and help minimize wastage and overstocking cost.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate contracts, invoices, delivery orders, and supplier database.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOP, internal QA procedures, import regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare procurement and cost‑saving reports for management review.
Cross‑Department Support
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Accounts, and Logistics teams to support smooth factory operations.
  • Assist in resolving supplier quality issues, wrong items delivered, or urgent breakdown spare part requests.
  • Support management in sourcing new hardware items, machinery upgrades and factory expansion.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of purchasing/procurement experience, ideally in hardware, machinery, industrial materials, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple suppliers and urgent procurement timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement systems.
  • Detail‑oriented, cost‑conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with industrial hardware/products is an added advantage.
