Job summary

A concrete manufacturing company in Ipoh is looking for a procurement specialist to manage purchase orders and supplier relations. Candidates should have 3-4 years of relevant experience; however, fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn are also welcome. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred to communicate effectively with suppliers. This position offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for in-house training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in procurement or similar roles.
• Fresh graduates will be considered with in-house training provided.
• Mandarin speaking is preferred for supplier communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with factory's representative for purchase requisitions.
• Process purchase orders and communicate with suppliers.
• Monitor delivery of orders and maintain purchase records.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with factory's representative to clarify and verify their daily purchase requisitions.
• Obtain price quotes and generate purchase orders on approved requisitions prior to placing orders.
• Process all assigned purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure the purchase is confirmed.
• Monitor delivery of confirmed orders from suppliers and track the status to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain and file all purchase records and supporting documents.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the HOD.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess SPM, STPM, Diploma or relevant certificates with at least 3‑4 years of experience.
• Fresh graduates without experience will be considered, as in‑house training will be provided; salary will be commensurate with work experience.
• Ability to start work immediately is an added advantage.
• Mandarin‑speaking candidates are preferred to serve Mandarin‑speaking suppliers.
