Vacancy for Pupil-in-Chambers (Litigation):

We are seeking a Pupil-in-Chambers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring lawyers to gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a dynamic and supportive environment.

  • Work closely with the Partner in charge and the legal team on a wide range of matters, including trials and hearings at all levels of Courts in Malaysia (including the Industrial Court) and related preparation.
  • Adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA).
  • Arbitration.
  • Research and preparation of legal advice for a variety of advisory work.

Vacancy for Pupil-in-Chambers (Corporate & Commercial):

To conduct legal research and to prepare related legal documentation and any other duties as may be expected and required by the firm.

Qualifications and Requirements

Pupil-in-Chambers (Litigation)

  • A recognised law degree (LLB) qualifying for admission to the Malaysian Bar.
  • Proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong communication, research and drafting skills.
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • A responsible team player, willing to assist colleagues and fellow pupils.
  • Able to travel independently when required.

Pupil-in-Chambers (Corporate & Commercial)

  • A second-class degree or equivalent from a reputable university, together with completion of the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or the Barrister Training Course / Bar Professional Training Course (if required to qualify as a "qualified person" under the Legal Profession Act 1976).
  • Applicants sitting for their CLP, BTC or equivalent exams in 2025 may apply and will be considered for conditional offers pending their results.
  • Interested and passionate to practice in corporate and commercial field.
  • Good command in English and Malay (both written and spoken).
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Responsible, disciplined and committed.
  • A team player and willing to learn.
  • Able to start as soon as possible.
