Public Relations (PR) & Social Media Executive

We’re looking for a PR & Social Media Executive who is not only passionate about the industry but also thrives in a high-energy environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with media, journalists, influencers, and KOLs—especially within the FMCG and lifestyle space.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and communication materials that align with brand voice and campaign objectives.
- Support media engagements, including story pitching, coordinating interviews, and ensuring smooth execution of media-related activities.
Social Media Management
- Develop and implement content calendars across key social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, or X) for various clients.
- Monitor and respond to audience engagement—including comments and DMs—in a timely and brand-aligned manner.
- Track performance metrics and optimize content for reach, engagement, and growth.
Content & Campaign Support
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging content ideas for both PR and digital platforms, including copy, visuals, and short-form videos.
- Support campaign ideation and assist in proposal development for new pitches and ongoing projects.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute relevant, trend-driven, and strategic ideas.
Client & Project Management
- Support the day-to-day execution of PR and social media initiatives across multiple clients or campaigns.
- Liaise with vendors, influencers, KOLs, and suppliers to ensure smooth campaign coordination.
- Report to account managers and collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent delivery and results.
Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare performance reports and PR coverage summaries with insights and actionable recommendations.
- Use data to guide strategic refinement and content direction.
Requirements
- Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in PR, social media, or communications (especially within agencies or FMCG-related accounts) are highly preferred.
- A natural communicator with a flair for storytelling and the ability to adapt tone across different clients and industries.
- Highly organised, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple timelines and deliverables simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment—willing to learn, contribute, and go the extra mile.
- Familiar with media relations, influencer engagement, and digital content development.
- Basic visual editing or social media content creation skills (e.g., Canva or CapCut) is a plus.
Language Requirements
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken, is required.
- For Chinese-speaking applicants, fluency in Mandarin (reading and writing) will be considered a strong advantage.
