Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a professional for a supervisory role focused on mechanical and electrical equipment installation. The candidate will manage site execution, ensuring compliance with project schedules and quality standards. A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in construction is required, along with a diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and strong project management skills are essential. This is an on-site position based in Selangor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in retrofit or new build construction for Mechanical & Electrical equipment/machinery installation.
• Requires strong project management capabilities with a proactive mindset in strategic planning, coordinating and executing tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (piping & electrical schematic diagram) and project plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site feasibility checks for hot water systems and highlight potential risks.
• Establish site execution schedules and coordinate with all parties involved.
• Manage daily site execution by supervising subcontractors and resolving issues.
• Track progress, inspect work quality, and maintain accurate daily records.
• Conduct installation inspections and support full testing and completion reports.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Initiation: Conduct site feasibility checks for retrofit/new build on hot water system’s installation and highlight potential risks and constraints.
• Planning: Establish site execution schedules for hot water system’s installation for subcontractor and client reference, and coordinate with internal, subcontractors and client.
• Execution: Manage daily site execution by supervision to subcontractors, resolve on-site issues, and enforce quality & specification compliance.
• Monitoring: Track and control progress against established schedules, inspect work for standards, and maintain accurate daily records and reportings.
• Closing: Conduct site installation inspection, pre-testing and support engineer for full testing and site execution completion reports with lessons learned.
• Any other ad hoc tasks relevant to your department.

• Able to travel outstation nationally, perform over time when necessary and standby during non-working days.
