Job summary

A technology staffing firm is seeking a Project Manager for IT Infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will provide leadership in managing projects from inception to completion, engage with clients, and manage timelines and resources effectively. Ideal applicants should have over 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure project management, familiarity with managed services or IT consulting, and a degree in a related field. Traveling may be required.

Job description
Overview

As a Project Manager (IT Infrastructure), you will be part of the Project Delivery team that ensures all projects and SOW are well-planned, managed and deliverables within the timeframe. You will work closely with project resources such as Network Engineer, System Engineers, Data Center Engineers along the way. Having sound knowledge across infrastructure and networking technologies are the key.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project leadership and management of the projects, leading from inception to completion
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact in Client Engagement
  • Own the project scope, SLA and cost plan
  • Resource allocation and managing project timeline
  • Forecast revenue and costs of ongoing projects/contracts with minimum deviation
  • Monitor P&L of ongoing projects/contracts
  • Manage costs of ongoing contracts to ensure project margins targets are met
  • Liaise with PMA, CSU Finance in matters of revenue forecast and accrual
  • Cost forecast and posting
  • Evaluate needs for continuous process and service improvements
  • Negotiate with vendors and across teams to ensure adequate resources are available during various phases of the project
  • Negotiate with customers on change request effort, schedules and prioritize changes based on business needs
  • Clear and concise communication with customers on project issues or clarifications
Qualifications
  • Min 5 years of experience in IT infra project management
  • Experience in managed services or IT consulting environment
  • Able to travel as required
  • Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
  • PMI/PMP/PRINCE2 certification would be an added advantage
