A construction management firm in Gombak is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee various construction projects from design to handover stages. The successful candidate will coordinate with contractors and consultants, ensure compliance with safety standards, and manage project budgets and documentation. Ideal applicants should hold a relevant Bachelor's degree and possess 5-10 years of experience in project management, with strong skills in planning, coordination, and risk management. Professional registration is a plus.
Manage construction projects from design coordination, procurement, construction, testing, and handover stages.
Develop project execution plans, work schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address delays or cost overruns.
Assist in tender evaluation, contractor appointment, and contract administration.
Manage variation orders, claims, and cost control in accordance with contract terms.
Review progress claims and certify works completed in collaboration with consultants or QS.
Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with construction schedules and safety requirements.
Coordinate resolution of site issues, defects, and non-conformance matters.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g. local authorities, CIDB, DOSH, BOMBA where applicable).
Enforce site safety standards and promote a safe working environment.
Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to management.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely communication of project issues and decisions.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Manage project issues, disputes, and escalations effectively.
Ensure timely resolution of technical, contractual, and operational challenges.
Maintain proper project documentation including drawings, approvals, site records, reports, and correspondence.
Prepare and submit regular progress, cost, and risk reports to management.
Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.
Also assist the outlets or office in building compliance, i.e BOMBA/ Fire/ CCC/ Akta 446 (Hostel for workers) as and when required.
