Job description

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing daily engineering and site activities for new residential building construction projects, ensuring works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedule.

You will play an important role, including:

Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities for new residential housing projects.

Coordinate site works with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Review and implement approved construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Monitor site progress, manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure works follow the project schedule.

Supervise structural, architectural, and infrastructure works on site.

Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE / QHSE) requirements.

Identify technical issues on site and propose solutions to the Project Manager.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Assist in inspection works, quality checks, and consultant / authority inspections.

Verify work done for progress claims and variation works.

Maintain proper site records, drawings, and technical documentation.

Attend meetings.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in residential or building construction projects.

Knowledge of construction methods for housing, infrastructure, and building works.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Familiar with site safety regulations and quality control procedures.

Willing to be based on-site.

Preferred / Added Skills

Experience in landed residential projects (double-storey houses).

Familiar with local authority submission and inspection processes.

Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar software.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
