Job summary

A construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to assist with day-to-day project planning and implementation. Job description

To assist and report Project Director/Project Manager in day-to-day project planning & implementation and all technical aspect.

To instruct, team lead, supervise and monitor subcontractors to meet proposed schedule.

To study drawings, specification compliance with design requirements and site conditions to understand project requirements.

Develop and implement project plans, schedules and budgets to meet project objectives

Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to coordinate project activities

Monitor and report on project progress, supplier on all site for technical matters and timely issuance of construction drawings, follow up on drawings and amendments.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes and safety requirements

To prepare material requisition form for construction materials, to monitor machinery , wastage of construction materials by subcontractors.

Provide technical support and guidance to project teams

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Collaborate with the design team to optimise engineering solutions

What we're looking for

Degree in Civil, Structural or Project Engineering

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry

Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficient in using project management software and construction-related technologies

Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials and regulations

Adaptable and solution-oriented with a keen eye for detail
