1. Job Summary
The Project Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting project financials, schedules, resources, and progress across Data Center, M&E, and Solar construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager, Procurement, Planning, and Site Teams to ensure projects stay within budget, timeline, and compliance requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Project Cost Control & Budgeting
- Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost plans.
- Track actual cost vs. budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Responsible for revenue recognition according to Cost to Cost Revenue recognition method.
- Verify and validate subcontractor claims, VO, progress claims, and invoices.
- Work closely with site team on monthly vendor progress claim.
- Work with Project team on cost verification, material reconciliation, and budget adjustments.
B. Project Scheduling & Progress Tracking
- Review project schedules from Planning team and track weekly/monthly progress.
- Prepare progress reports, S-curve, manpower histogram, and productivity tracking.
- Highlight delays, risk areas, and propose mitigation plans.
C. Project Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain project documentation including budget sheet, cost trackers, approval logs, PO/PR status, and monthly reporting.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, client requirements, and internal SOPs.
- Support the PM/PD in client reporting, meeting minutes, and submissions.
- Identify cost, schedule, and resource risks; propose early mitigation strategies.
- Perform monthly cost-to-complete forecasting and project health assessments.
- Support management in decision‑making with accurate data analysis.
E. Coordination & Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with Project Director/ Project Manager, Procurement, Finance, HR and HQ for project and cost‑related issues.
- Prepare monthly dashboard reports for management and client presentation.
- Support internal audits and financial reviews.
- Support project administration matters.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil), Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related fields.
Experience
- 2–5 years experience in cost control / project control in construction, preferably Data Center projects.
- Strong knowledge of project costing, budget control, and financial forecasting.
- Proficient in Excel, MS Project / Primavera (advantage), PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, BOQ, claims, and procurement flow.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
