Job description

Overview

We are a multi-national company involved developing, manufacturing and marketing for intelligent and ergonomic products, located in I-park Industrial area, Kulai, Johor. We are looking to hire for Production Technician.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and maintain SMT production equipment (pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, reflow ovens, AOI)
• Perform PCB assembly, soldering, and rework of SMT components
• Inspect assembled PCBs using visual inspection, microscopes, and AOI systems
• Troubleshoot SMT process issues such as solder defects, component misalignment, and bridging
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of SMT machines
• Read and interpret schematics, BOMs, Gerber files, and assembly drawings
• Support process improvement activities to enhance yield and quality
• Record production, inspection, and maintenance data accurately
• Ensure compliance with ESD control, IPC standards, and safety procedures
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have

• Minimum SPM/STPM/Diploma (Electrical/ Mechanical)
• Able to read mechanical/ electrical/ electronic circuit
• Minimum 1 year of experience related to building facility and equipment maintenance
• Skilled and detail-oriented technician with knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) to support electronics assembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required as you would need to liaise with stakeholders from China
