Job summary

A global manufacturing firm in Malaysia is searching for a Production Supervisor to lead a team of Line Leaders and Production Assistants. This role involves training, motivating, and overseeing team performance to achieve daily targets, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and maintaining production quality standards. Candidates should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years' supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia are required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Job description
Team Supervision

Train, motivate, and oversee Line Leaders and Production Assistants to achieve daily targets.

Process Compliance

Communicate and monitor adherence to process changes and safety procedures.

Shift Coordination

Ensure smooth shift changeovers and provide feedback on production issues.

Production Management

Maintain equipment in production mode, escalate non‑production uses, and initiate quality re‑captures.

Planning and Reporting

Manage manpower and materials to meet targets, review WIP reports, and prepare output reports.

5S Implementation

Enforce 5S standards and compliance with SOPs.

Collaboration

Work with support groups on production matters.

Briefings and Reports

Lead daily briefings and prepare shift performance reports.

Welfare and Discipline

Address team grievances, handle minor and major misconduct, and coordinate cross‑training.

Compliance Enforcement

Ensure SOP and specification compliance.

Defect Management

Verify and recapture defects, escalate issues, and follow up on quality performance changes.

Communication

Relay quality alerts and information to relevant teams.

Job Requirements

Diploma in Electrical Engineering, preferably with supervisory experience.

Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Fresh graduates with management backgrounds are welcome to apply.
