Overview

We are looking for a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR at Oleon, based in Selangor Halal Hub Pulau Indah Industrial Park SE, Lot 57 Jalan Sungai Pinang 4 3KS11, Port Klang, 42920, Malaysia. Employment type: Permanent contract.

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to strengthen our Production department.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and Coordination: Oversee daily operations of the production plant, ensuring production schedules are met. Assign tasks to production staff and monitor their performance. Coordinate with Engineers to ensure smooth workflow. Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment reliability.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment malfunctions. Develop contingency plans to minimize production downtime.
• Process Optimization: Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives. Implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies. Support cost reduction, waste minimization, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, health, safety and environmental, and company policies. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on the production floor.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications. Implement and monitor quality control procedures. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
• Resource Management: Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies. Ensure efficient use of resources to meet production goals. Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality-related records. Prepare and review production reports, performance data, and root cause analyses.
• Training and Development: Train and guide new employees on manufacturing processes and process protocols. Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching. Participate in new product introductions, process validations, and equipment commissioning.

Qualifications and Requirements

• You have a minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Oleochemical manufacturing/production environment.
• You have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• You have proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• You have excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• You are computer literate (Microsoft Office, SAP).
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• You are able to work on a rotated shift and you must be willing to work at Pulau Indah, Port Klang.
