Job summary

A leading recruitment and consulting agency in Malaysia is seeking a proactive individual to troubleshoot machine issues and support production line operations. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include performing product changeovers, updating checklists, and assisting with maintenance tasks. A strong communicator who can work independently is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in production line operations and machine handling.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues.
  • Perform product changeovers and provide operator support.
  • Update daily checklists and generate reports.

Skills

Hands-on experience in using SAP system

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Food Processing, or equivalent
Job description
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues (e.g., Moulding, Main Conveyor, OPM, TTME, Carton Sealer).
  • Perform product changeovers and provide operator support across different lines when required.
  • Attend and complete mandatory trainings (GMP, HALAL, Safety, HACCP) and other role-related training.
  • Update daily checklists, generate reports with the Shift Leader, and act as Shift Leader in their absence.
  • Assist maintenance technicians in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of major downtime issues.
  • Handle minor stoppages, document problems, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and timely maintenance of machines and working areas.
  • Follow and implement all SOPs, work processes, food safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and IL6S activities at the line/plant level.
  • Conduct routine inspections and planned quality checks to meet CTP & CTQ standards.
  • Maintain equipment in base condition through abnormality handling, CIL, and centerline management.
  • Operate and manage more than one main equipment to support flow-to-work flexibility.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Food Processing, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in production line operations and machine handling.

  • Willing to work on a shift schedule.
  • Hands-on experience in using SAP system.
