Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager to supervise machining and chemical cleaning operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Job description

Participate in on-site production and workshop management, overseeing machining and chemical cleaning operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient manufacturing activities.

Manage and supervise local Malaysian operators to achieve daily production targets while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards.

Collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to support process improvement initiatives, productivity enhancement, and operational optimization.

Monitor production progress, work-in-process status, and output performance to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality requirements.

Coordinate with supervisors and management to support new workshop setup, commissioning, and ramp-up activities.

Process, track, and manage production orders, inventory levels, and material supplies to maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate and complete manufacturing records, production documentation, and standard operating procedures in accordance with company policies.

Prepare, analyze, and distribute production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to relevant departments for management review.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a manufacturing, machining, or production-related environment.

Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or other related science and engineering disciplines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, with the ability to manage production data and reports effectively.

Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and management teams.
