Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- At least 5 years in production management within a food manufacturing or central kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Overseeing multi-shift or high-volume production lines in retail/FMCG settings.
- Formal training in Lean/Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt).
- Language Skills: Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY (Role in Organisation Structure, how does this job achieve Company Policies/Div/Dept Strategies?) To oversee daily, weekly and monthly Process Centre Operations is running smoothly and safely in production and backroom.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Strategic Impact on Organisation)
- To direct and coordinate the activities of the total production function by maximizing output within the defined quality levels and forecasting requirements at minimum cost through the effective utilization of resources.
- To fulfill internal and external customer satisfaction and to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) set by the superiors.
- Establish and commit to strategic direction by top management to accomplish long term goals or objectives by analyzing factual data and/or reasonable assumptions, taking into considerations resources, constraints and organizational value.
- Breaking down production strategies or business initiatives into key tasks and identifying accountabilities by aligning communication, people, culture, processes, resources and system to ensure effective implementation and delivery required results.
- To participate in all related meetings and briefings as arranged by management and to arrange for proxies in case of non‑attendance.
- Passionately selling production/strategy by creating clear view of the future state by helping others understand and feel how things will be different when the future vision is achieved.
- Understanding and utilizing economic, financial and industry data to accurately diagnose production strength and weakness, identifying key issues, developing strategies and plan.
- Control and manage budget, plan and program to ensure the optimum utilization of available equipment, resources and labor force to attain production objective/targets.
- Continuously improving methods, effectiveness and resource utilization and critically review and monitor production results.
- Using appropriate delegation to create sense of ownership of higher-level organizational issues and encouraging individuals to stretch beyond their current capabilities.
- Additional Duties and Responsibilities: The employee may be required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or management. These tasks may be within or outside the scope of their primary job responsibilities and are intended to support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department and organization. Assignments may vary based on business needs, operational priorities, and organizational changes.
