Job description

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise the manufacturing processes to be in compliance with cGMP.
• Monitor compliance to personnel hygiene and gowning including protective garments, shoes and the use of gloves, masks and goggles.
• Oversee dispensing of materials for production use, check weights and measures of materials.
• Enforce FIFO for both raw and packaging materials, and ensure materials are returned to the designated areas after dispensing.
• Check/verify critical processing steps and important production activities, e.g. product filling weight, pH and final volume.
• Inspect packaging materials including labels, control seal quality of bottles and pouches and ensure product weights/volume are within specifications.
• Perform troubleshooting and investigation on manufacturing issues, incidents and problems on the production line to ensure continuity of operation.
• Manpower planning and management to ensure good productivity and teamwork.
• Drive improvement and enhance production operations to attain high quality products and high efficiency.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are adhered to and highlight any non-conformance and deviation occurred during processing and filling activities.

Equipment, Facility and Premise Control

• Approve room & equipment prior to use in production.
• Perform room & equipment checks after production to ensure proper line clearance, housekeeping of apparatus and cleanliness of machines and room.
• Liase with maintenance for rectification of defective equipment and services, and take care that repair and maintenance operations do not present any hazard to the quality of products.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of machines, equipment and apparatus.
• Ensure cleanliness of production areas.
• Maintain safe working environment.
• Perform calibration of production equipment and maintain their records.
• Ensure all logbooks and logsheets are filled correctly and on time.
• Ensure proper decontamination and cleaning after the manufacturing of penicillin and cephalosporin products.

Training and Qualification

• Carry out qualification of equipment, personnel and facilities.
• Carry out process validation activities.
• Initial and continual training for production staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Science related field.
• Demonstrate supervisory, problem solving skill with positive attitude.
• Possess good written and communication skill.
• Possess good knowledge of GMP, guidelines and policies governing pharmaceutical industry.
• Systematic, organized and meticulous on work planning.
• Preferably with relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry.
