About the Role

Chery Malaysia is looking for a dynamic and driven Production Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining top-quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across key assembly areas including Trim, SE, OH, Final, and Door Sub-Assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and improve daily production operations in designated assembly areas (Trim, SE, OH, Final, Door Sub).
• Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Whys).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
• Lead and guide production staff to achieve productivity and operational goals.
• Prepare production and performance reports for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production or automotive manufacturing.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
• Proficient in problem-solving methods, including 8D reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
