Retail Banking brings together a united retail business, made up of the following global teams: Segments, Retail Products, Shared Services Contact Centre, Distribution and Enablers spanning Customer Experience, Marketing, Data and Analytics, Business Architecture, Sustainability and Inclusion for International Wealth and Premier Banking.

Role Purpose

The Manager, Affluent Spend & Partnerships is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive spend growth, engagement, and loyalty among affluent credit card customers. This role oversees strategic partnerships, premium lifestyle value propositions, and portfolio initiatives to deepen customer relationships and enhance card usage across key spend categories.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Portfolio & Spend Management
    1. Develop and implement spend strategies to grow usage and share of wallet for affluent credit card products.
    2. Analyse portfolio performance, customer behaviour, and spend trends to identify opportunities for targeted campaigns.
    3. Drive annual spend growth targets through tactical and strategic initiatives across travel, luxury retail, dining, e-commerce, wellness, and premium lifestyle categories.
    4. Monitor campaign ROI, customer engagement, and KPIs to optimise existing programmes.
  2. Partnership Acquisition & Management
    1. Identify, secure, and manage partnerships that enhance card value propositions covering airlines, hotels, luxury brands, lifestyle merchants and wellness providers.
    2. Negotiate commercial terms and funding structures with partners.
    3. Oversee end-to-end partnership execution, including offers, merchant-funded/non funded promotions, and exclusive cardholder experiences.
    4. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Digital, Legal, Compliance, Finance) and external partners.
  3. Governance & Compliance
    1. Ensure all campaigns, promotions, and partnerships are aligned with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
    2. Manage partnership budgets, funding utilisation, and vendor documentation.
  4. Customer Experience & Brand Engagement
    1. Curate differentiated affluent experiences, events, and loyalty touchpoints to strengthen brand affinity.
    2. Work with Marketing to roll out effective engagement campaigns tailored to affluent lifestyles.
    3. Ensure consistent premium customer experience across all touchpoints.
Qualifications & Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in credit cards, partnerships, portfolio management, marketing, or banking products.
  3. Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Agile, customer-centric, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
