Job summary

A manufacturing company located in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a talented individual for a product design role. You will be responsible for designing and refining products from concept to production, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Electronics Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience, although fresh graduates may also be considered. Key skills include root cause analysis, project management, and proficiency in tools like AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience, but fresh graduates will also be considered.
• PC Literate in various software applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine products from concept through production and post-launch support.
• Translate product requirements and customer needs into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers to define product features, costs, timelines, and performance goals.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, BOMs, and test plans.
• Conduct design reviews, simulations, and testing to validate product performance and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve product issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure products comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems.
• Support suppliers and vendors on component selection, qualification, and technical challenges.
