Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Engineer to join our team in George Town, Malaysia. As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative products from concept to production, ensuring high-quality and efficient manufacturing processes.

  • Design and develop new products using CAD software and engineering principles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and requirements
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including technical drawings and bills of materials
  • Conduct product testing and analysis to ensure quality and performance standards are met
  • Optimize existing products for improved functionality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability
  • Manage product lifecycle using PLM software and implement design changes as needed
  • Develop prototypes and oversee the transition from prototype to full-scale production
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues in manufacturing and field applications
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturing processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in product engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and material science
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Experience with prototyping and testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (e.g., consumer electronics, automotive, medical devices)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site manufacturing support or client meetings
