Job summary

A leading technology firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Procurement Manager with experience in supplier qualification and project procurement management. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years' experience and a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or the Telecommunication industry. The role involves managing supplier relationships, conducting bidding processes, and ensuring procurement aligns with project demands. Candidates must be willing to travel within Malaysia and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement by category, including telecom equipment and logistics.

• Maintain supplier relationships and develop the industry chain.

Job description

Category procurement: Handle procurement by category, such as telecom equipment engineering service, civil work, data center, managed service, logistics etc.

Supplier qualification: Source and qualify suppliers from the local market and ensure that the supplier qualification meets the requirements.

Supplier selection: Conduct category frame bidding, including collect and analyse project demand and business strategy, prepare bidding strategy, conduct bidding and price negotiation, prepare and sign contract.

Project procurement management: Responsible for daily management of the selected suppliers in project level. Establish supplier resources plan according to project master plan, coordinate suppliers to prepare resources according to the plan, solve procurement issues during implementation.

Supplier development: Maintain the supplier relationship, communicate with the senior management of the supplier, and build a good supplier relationship and a healthy industry chain.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree.

At least 5 years of relevant experience.

Candidate who are from Engineering background or Telecommunication industry related would be added advantage.

Willing to travel within Malaysia.

Good communication skill and team work.
