Job Description Summary

Acts as the technical focal point for engine workscoping and shop visit readiness, driving timely escalations to keep engines moving through the visit and bridging technical gaps through structured investigation and Flight Deck problem‑solving. Collaborates with MRO, CTP (Engineering), customer teams, materials, quality, and the customer to translate fleet health and contract requirements into executable workscope, ensure material and repair readiness, and resolve findings without delaying flow. Applies standard work and disciplined tiered management to manage risk, protect safety and quality, and deliver engines on‑time and at cost targets.

GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aviation fleets every day. Established in 1997 as a Center of Excellence for CFM56 engines, GEESM has grown into a key hub of our global operations. It now services commercial aircraft engines, components, and accessories. Role Overview
  • Owns shop workscoping by managing the induction pipeline and also conversion of documentation from customer to shop.
  • Provide oversite towards all escalation happening with respective engine.
  • Driving cost saving initiatives by either challenging engine workscope status quo or researching engine part/component historical data via CFMI salesforce or MRB review board.
  • Lead/manage engine investigations to determine root causes of engine issues that support fleet management.
  • Support of production with part defect interpretation/finalization.
  • Root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) and application of statistical control. You will have input into ensuring safe work conditions via EHS initiatives.
  • Use lean methodology (Flightdeck) to drive productivity.
  • On time delivery.
  • Work location: Subang and will be stationed at Sepang from Q4 2026.
Ideal Candidate
  • Candidate will have a strong background in powerplant engineering, including expertise in engine/propulsion systems, thermodynamics, and basic engine system operation along with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). The ideal candidate should hold a technical degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering fields, with at least 3 years of experience in powerplant & engine workscoping. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage complex projects is essential.
