Overview

Position: Backend Developer (PHP)
Level: Junior (1 to 3 years) / Senior (3 years & above)
Location: The Signature, Sunway Velocity (KL)
Client Industry: Digital Marketing Agency
Work Day: Monday - Friday (Hybrid, 2 days WFH Flexibility)
Working Hours: 8 hours (flexible clock in between 8am - 10am)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain custom web-based applications using PHP and related technologies.
• Develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code. Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and testing of applications.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end or mobile app developers.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members. Mentor junior developers, enabling their growth and development. (For Senior/Lead role)
• Consistently report work progress and challenges to the team leader. Propose initiatives and implement solutions to enhance existing projects, improve workflows, and optimize performance.
• Maintain high software quality standards within the team. Establish and enforce best practices and coding habits.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends. Apply new knowledge to enhance project development processes.

Qualifications

• Have a minimum of 1 - 3 years or above of hands-on experience in PHP web development, with a focus on building robust and scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency in using PHP MVC frameworks, especially Laravel, is mandatory.
• Experience in using code versioning control systems such as Git, with a strong understanding of collaborative development workflows.
• Showcase a passion for adhering to coding standards and maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-structured codebase.
• Possess adequate knowledge of web security practices, including session management, protection against XSS attacks, and other relevant security measures. Implement and enforce best practices to ensure the highest level of security in our applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Language Required: Proficient in English (Mandarin would be an added advantage to support communication with internal or external stakeholders)
