Job summary

A local pharmacy in Sarawak is seeking a pharmacist to manage medication dispensing, assist in inventory control, and supervise the pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, be registered with the Malaysia Pharmacy Board, and possess strong communication skills. This role involves teamwork and offers training for candidates with less experience. A flexible schedule is required for selected weekends and public holidays.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Professional medication dispensing, consultation and counseling
• Manage and record poison and stock inventory
• Maintain good teamwork and communication with branch manager, nutritionist and pharmacy assistant to ensure smooth and effective daily retail operation
• Assist in basic management and team building
• Conduct training and performance assessment of the team
• Train, supervise and monitor sales performance and service
• Keep in touch with all HQ departments as well as other branches

REQUIREMENTS

• Full time position only
• Must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology.
• Registered with Malaysia Pharmacy Board
• Sufficient understanding towards pharmacy’s law and regulations
• Proficiency in English, Malay, Chinese and local dialects will be an added bonus
• Pleasant personality and professional demeanor
• Experienced in pharmacy management, inventory control and purchasing will be an added advantage
• Flexible working schedules and willing to work on selected weekends and public holidays
• Candidates with no retail experience are also encouraged to join as training will be provided
