Pharmaceutical Purchasing & Business Development Specialist / Pharmacist
- Manage purchasing of medicines and medical supplies for private and government hospitals, as well as wholesalers.
- Ensure timely purchase orders, accurate documentation, and compliance with purchasing policies.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory teams to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Assist in preparing and submitting tender documents in line with Ministry of Health requirements.
- Track tender timelines, deadlines, and ensure complete documentation for audit readiness.
- Liaise with government purchasing officers to clarify requirements and maintain compliance.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify new business opportunities with hospitals, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships to expand market reach.
- Support the CEO in exploring strategic partnerships that enhance purchasing efficiency.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
- Maintain records of supplier agreements and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or alternatives.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company SOPs, Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and tender submissions for audit purposes.
Ad Hoc Support
- Carry out any ad hoc tasks assigned by the CEO from time to time.
- Provide support during audits, inspections, or urgent purchasing needs.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; registration with Pharmacy Board Malaysia preferred.
- Language: Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) will be regarded as an added professional advantage.
- Experience: 1–3 years in pharmaceutical purchasing, supply chain, or tender management.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of purchasing systems, tender processes, and pharmaceutical regulations.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attributes: Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.
