HR Director (Option to base in Singapore or KL)

Responsibilities
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Manager end‑to‑end payroll processing; oversee EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and HRD Corp submissions; ensure compliance with the Malaysian Employment Act; supervise HR Executive on daily HR operations
  • HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle: Manage onboarding, confirmation, transfers, disciplinary processes and exits; maintain HR records, contracts, letters and SOPs; handle employee relations matters
  • People Transformation & Change Support: Support organisational change initiatives; align people practices to business priorities; improve role clarity, discipline and execution culture
  • Performance Management & Capability Development: Drive performance review cycles; coach managers on performance conversations; coordinate learning and HRDF‑funded programs; monitor engagement and retention risks
  • HR Digitalisation & AI Adoption: Digitalise HR trackers, reporting and workflows; apply basic AI tools for recruitment screening, workforce tracking and performance monitoring
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related fields.
  • Certification (e.g. HRDF Trainer, CIPD, SHRM) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in handling end‑to‑end payroll including top management level.
  • Experience supporting organisational change or transformation is an advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and labour regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in HR operations, employee relations and performance management.
  • Basic HR digital tools and AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Practical problem‑solving and execution focus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to adopt digital and AI tools in HR.
