A regional operations firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an Operations Support Assistant to coordinate plant activities and track production progress. This role involves preparing reports, liaising with teams across Singapore and China, and supporting process improvements. Requirements include a degree in relevant fields, comfort in a manufacturing environment, and bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese. Fresh graduates or those with up to 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply. The role offers mentorship and opportunities for international travel as the company expands.
Assist the Operations Director in day-to-day plant coordination and planning.
Track production orders, timelines, and workflow progress.
Prepare daily/weekly reports, operational summaries, and dashboards.
Maintain SOPs, operational logs, compliance documents, and audit files.
Ensure all production and process documentation meets industry security standards.
Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and internal communication materials.
Liaise with Singapore HQ and China teams on production schedules, order status, and materials coordination.
Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Production teams to ensure smooth operations.
Follow up on action items, deadlines, and project milestones.
Provide coordination support for embossing, printing, and personalization lines.
Track machine availability, production readiness, and shift updates.
Support troubleshooting activities by gathering information and reporting issues.
Assist in identifying workflow bottlenecks and proposing improvements.
Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
Document best practices and create knowledge-transfer materials.
Participate in SEA expansion activities, plant setup support, and equipment installation coordination.
Assist with regional project documentation and cross-border communication.
Opportunity for regional travel in the future (SEA initially; Europe/Africa later as we expand).
Diploma/Degree in Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
Fresh graduates or 1–3 years’ experience welcome.
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and good follow-up discipline.
Comfortable in a manufacturing environment (embossing, printing, personalization machines).
Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple countries.
Bilingual in English and Chinese.
Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work independently.
Must be comfortable handling confidential and secure materials.
Salary range RM3,500–RM5,000 based on experience.
Direct mentorship from senior leadership and exposure to a global operations network.
Training on secure card manufacturing processes and production systems.
Strong career progression toward Senior Operations roles and Plant Management.
