Role Overview

The Security Operations Operational Enablement Engineer supports global security operations by delivering data engineering and automation services. The engineer collaborates with cyber incident response, security operations center and detection engineering teams to design and implement strategic projects.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of Data Engineering and Security Automation services in day‑to‑day operations and help develop the strategy for improving data and automation engineering capabilities.
  • Work with Security Operations leadership, Data Engineering and Security Automation resources to design and deliver strategic projects and solutions.
  • Provide 24/7/365 support for Security Operations teams, including Incident Response personnel throughout the course of an event if required.
  • Collaborate with Security Operation Centre analysts to ensure end‑user requirements are reflected in the functionality of security technologies.
  • Take ownership of local requirements and integrate them into global security services, coordinating efforts between regional stakeholders and other engineering functions.
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of overall experience in Security Engineering, including a minimum of 2+ years’ recent experience in SIEM Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Experience working in complex enterprises and global organizations; insurance and financial services experience is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of standard security controls and frameworks in enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to design and implement ingestion and transformation pipelines across modern data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, malware defenses, and perimeter controls.
  • Familiarity with CrowdStrike NGSIEM data connectors, pipelines, and parsers preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
