Job summary

A leading technology company in Ipoh seeks an experienced production leader to manage Engineering and Production teams. The successful candidate will lead operations, ensure quality, and execute production plans. A degree in Business Admin or related field with 10 years in high volume production is essential. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are required. This role is strictly onsite, emphasizing adherence to company values.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in high volume high mix production environment managing operations.
• Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools is a bonus.
• Experience working on lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• To lead the Engineering and Production team for overall production delivery.
• To supervise and maintain the production line in proper order, following procedures and control plan all the time.
• To execute production build plans and activities according to timeline. To participate to continuously monitor and improve the product line processes and quality.
• To provide the necessary support and coordination to pilot build of new products for timely completion.
• Identify, quantify and report any quality problems with materials and/or processes for seeking solutions from the team.
• To drive relevant counterparts (e.g. Main Store, Finished Goods, etc.) for timely kitting and completion of jobs against customer delivery schedule.
• Performs any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor from time to time.

Education & Experience

• A Degree in Business Admin / Economics / IE / Production Management or its equivalents with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in high volume high mix production environment managing operations.

Skills

• Leadership capabilities to manage a production team of supervisors, line leaders & operators.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving.
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Ipoh.
• Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools is a bonus.
