Job summary

A newly established manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a professional to lead NPI projects from prototype to mass production. The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, have 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, and possess excellent project management skills. This role will work closely with design teams to ensure quality compliance and process improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Job description

This company is a newly established manufacturing company located in Senai. They specialize in producing cables for high-reliability connectors. As a key player in the global supply chain, the company serves various industries including automotive, medical healthcare, marine, telecommunications, logistics, railway, and others. With a strong international presence, they operate more than 10 sales outlets worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage NPI projects from prototype to mass production.
  • Work with design and engineering teams to review drawings and specifications.
  • Develop and implement production processes and manufacturing documentation.
  • Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure material readiness and tooling development.
  • Identify and resolve production and quality issues during pilot runs.
  • Support product validation, testing, and certification.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Continuously improve processes for future NPI projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in NPI, manufacturing, or process engineering.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Familiar with tools such as PFMEA, control plans, and root cause analysis.
