Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced candidate to lead new product introduction projects from drawing to realization. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, especially in sheet metal processes for the semiconductor industry. Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks are essential. This role requires excellent project management and analytical skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in NPI or manufacturing engineering.
• More than 3 years sheet metal process development for semiconductor industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product introduction projects from drawing to product realization.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Job description

Conduct Design For Manufacturability (DFM) and Design For Assembly (DFA) reviews.

Develop and document manufacturing processes and work instructions.

Identify and mitigate production risks early in the development cycle.

Support tooling and equipment selection and validation.

Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.

Chair project development schedule meeting and meet customer delivery demand.

Design process BOM and drawing.

Job Requirements

5+ years of experience in NPI or manufacturing engineering.

More than 3 years sheet metal process development for semiconductor industry.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.

Experience with DFM/DFA principles and tools.

Proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Able to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
