Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is looking for a Network Engineer/Network Specialist to design, implement, maintain, and secure enterprise networks across on-premise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience with strong hands-on skills in routing, switching, and firewall technologies. Familiarity with AWS and Azure networking is essential. The role supports critical network operations and requires collaboration with vendors and project managers. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification is preferred.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage routers, switches, MPLS, VPN, Cisco ACI, load balancers, and optimization tools.
• Research and test changes before implementation.
• Support L1/L2 teams during outages.
• Ensure network performance and coordinate with vendors.
• Configure and maintain firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA/FTD).
• Conduct migration of firewalls/load balancers.
• Maintain security documentation and drawings.
• Evaluate new solutions to strengthen network security.
• Build and manage AWS and Azure network integrations.
• Ensure smooth hybrid connectivity (cloud + on‑prem).

Technical Experience

• 5–8 years of strong hands‑on experience in routing, switching and multi‑vendor network setups.
• Skilled in wireless networking, load balancers, SDN and advanced technologies.
• Experience with wireless bridging and IEEE 802.11 standards.
• Familiar with ITIL (Incident, Change, Asset Management).
• Knowledge of network security, proxy/PAC file management and lifecycle management.
• CCNA certification is preferred.
