Job description

As a DRAM Module Quality Engineer, you will partner with other teams at the MMP manufacturing site to improve the quality of our DRAM Module products.

We are looking for an effective collaborator, skilled at establishing relationships and driving execution of activities owned by multiple partner teams, including planning, engineering and operations in the site, quality and other organizations.

The position requires an understanding of the manufacturing process for PCB/board-level products (module, SSD, etc). Qualified candidates will also have a background in product quality and qualification processes and key concepts.

Proactively find opportunities to improve Module product quality through “shift left” activities.

Take lead position in activities driven in response to quality events (e.g. Material Review Board, 8-D task force), partnering with global teams to ensure minimal impact to customers.

Drive effective collaboration with manufacturing and other teams in support of Micron’s “Quality Big Rock” projects.

Monitor indicators of product health (manufacturing data, test data, dedicated quality monitoring data) to identify any potential opportunities for improvement or risk aversion. Work with partner teams for full FA, understanding, etc.

Develop reports, dashboards, alerts to improve response time to any risks apparent from analysis of all available data.

Extract and analyze data from Micron’s various systems to assist in understanding risk, product health and quality for situations like product excursions (MRB, Material Review Board), process conversions and experiments, etc. Prepare the data for presentation.

Coordinate product movement, sampling and disposition resulting from deviated material events impacting Module products.

Requirements
  • B.S. degree in a relevant field such as Product Engineering, Quality and Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Quality, Operations or Manufacturing.
  • Grasp of the basic manufacturing flow for PCB/board level product lines (Modules, SSD, etc).
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (written and oral).
  • Data extraction, analysis and presentation.
