Job description

Industry: Fashion Brand
Working hours/ days: Mon-Fri; 9:30am-6:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the M-Plan and OTB budget in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Partner with the merchandising team to plan seasonal product buys, review and approve proposals, place purchase orders, and conduct regular forecasting and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze historical sales data, promotional performance, market trends, competitor activity, economic conditions, and customer insights to inform planning and product lifecycle decisions.
  • Monitor sales performance, stock levels, allocation strategies, and inventory turnover to ensure product availability and drive operational efficiency.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of M-Plan and markdown strategies to support future buying decisions, protect profit margins, and meet sales goals.
  • Prepare and deliver internal and external reports (including to principals) to ensure the right product and pricing strategies are in place for the target consumer. This includes involvement in pricing activities, annual marketing plans, and product assortment decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, visual merchandising, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment of merchandising strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the professional development of assistant merchandisers or planners.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product control, merchandising, or a related role in retail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in buying, merchandising, planning, budgeting/OTB, brand management, and understanding of marketing coordination and market trends.
