Department Overview

Designing & developing Accessories & Energy Solutions for mission‑critical, public safety, enterprise & video security applications. Core product portfolios include:

  • Audio Accessories: Remote speaker mic, mobile mic, wired/wireless earpieces & surveillance/tactical audio accessories.
  • Carry Accessories: Belt clip, belt loop, shoulder strap, leather case & holster.
  • Energy: High performance IMPRES/Core batteries, single/multi unit chargers & energy efficient power supplies.
Job Description
  • Lead the mechanical engineering team through the full product development lifecycle, managing all phases from initial concept & detail design through verification, validation & successful transition to mass production.
  • Partner with the Program Manager to define mechanical project scope, plan resources, establish realistic schedules, implement risk mitigation strategies & monitor critical milestones to ensure successful completion.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to achieve critical project goals in schedule, cost, safety, quality, reliability & robustness performance.
  • Engage with the Front End Architecture team to conduct high level conceptual feasibility study & technical maturation.
  • Spearhead rigorous design reviews to proactively mitigate & address technical risks prior to tool release approval.
  • Drive departmental initiatives for engineering excellence, continuous improvement & innovation by establishing & institutionalizing key design best practices, DFMEA, DFM & DFA.
  • Cultivate a high performing team by managing performance reviews, providing mentorship & driving strategic career growth & competency development.
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. A Master degree (MSME or MBA) is a strong plus.
  • 10 years of experience in mechanical product design & development, with min 2‑3 years in management role.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to deliver complex products from concept to mass production.
  • Strong leadership, decisive, strategic thinking & communication skills.
  • Proficient in mechanical design principles & material science, familiar with manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, machining, sheet metal, die casting, ultrasonic, resistance, laser welding & SMT.
  • Competent in mechanical engineering software/tools such as Creo 3D modelling, Tolerance Analysis, GD&T, FEA, Statistical Analysis & 8D Problem Solving.
